MŽP Gruzie: Khatuna Gogaladze navštívila nové turistické trasy v jeskyni Prométheus

Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, Khatuna Gogaladze, Niels Scott UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia, Shombi Sharp Deputy Country Director of UNDP together with 20 excellent schoolchildren visited Prometheus Cave.
After visiting the cave, guests returned to the Visitor's Center through a train. The purpose of the meeting was environment awareness growth, and popularization of new touristic services. Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia purchased 40 seats train that facilitates transportation of the guests from the exit of Prometheus Cave to the administrative building.
Prometheus Cave was discovered in 1984 year by the speleological expedition group led by Jumber Jishkariani. The Cave is located in Tskaltubo, village Kumistavi. There are three entrances and seventeen halls at the Cave. Prometheus (Tskaltubo) karst cave is situated at an altitude of 147 meters above sea level. Visitors have an opportunity to use boat trail, length - 380 meters. There were discovered 5 new halls by the divers in 2014.
